Hair Relaxer Lawsuit

For years, a growing body of medical research has been published by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) and peer reviewed medical journals, raising concerns about the side effects of hair relaxer products. The studies have identified several toxic chemicals frequently used in hair relaxers that may cause cancer, reproductive complications and development issues.

Hair Relaxer Cancer Lawsuits are currently being filed.

Hair relaxers and straighteners are cosmetic products that use chemicals such as lye to achieve their effects, and studies show that continued use of these products can lead to substantial health defects.   Talk to our lawyers about your legal rights and learn more about your eligibility.

L'Oreal® and other manufacturers accused in lawsuit alleging chemical hair relaxers can cause cancer.

Have you been diagnosed with:

  • Uterine Cancer
  • Endometrial Cancer
  • Ovarian Cancer

A lawsuit has been filed over claims that chemical hair-relaxing products may put women at highter risk for uterine cancer.

The allegations in the lawsuit are against L’Oreal USA Inc. and L’Oreal USA Products Inc., Strength of Nature Global LLC, Soft Sheen Carson (W.I.) Inc., Dabur International Ltd. and Dabur USA Inc., and Namaste Laboratories.

The lawsuit states that endocrine-disrupting chemicals commonly found in hair relaxer products can cause uterine cancer, specifically the highly toxic manufactured chemical known as DI-2-Ethylhexylphthalate, or DEHP.

In recent years multiple studies have been published that suggest a possible link between chemical hair relaxers, uterine cancer and infertility. Researchers have warned many hair relaxer products contain as many as 5,000 chemicals, many of which are classified as toxic, including, but not limited to;

  • Formaldehyde
  • Phthalates
  • Di-2-ethylhexylphthalate (DEHP)
  • Cyclosiloxanes
  • Bisphenol A
  • Parabens
  • Other harmful toxins and volatile organic compounds (VOCs)

If you or a loved one have been diagnosed or experienced any of the following cancers or conditions, you may be eligible for significant financial compensation:
